As a Software Engineer on the Code Context team, you’ll build developer tooling and infrastructure that connects AI agents with the knowledge, systems, and workflows they need. Your work will help every employee across Deliveroo, DoorDash, and Wolt make better use of AI in their day-to-day work.</p> <p>Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Build Developer Tooling: </strong>Design, build, and maintain the infrastructure and tooling that make relevant context accessible to AI coding agents across complex codebases and workflows.</li> <li><strong>Own Technical Projects:</strong> Independently take technical projects from design through delivery and adoption, evaluating approaches, making sound technical decisions, and measuring their impact. Contribute to the team's technical direction in a fast-moving AI landscape.</li> <li><strong>Build for Reliability & Scale:</strong> Ensure the systems behind our developer tooling remain reliable, performant, and secure as adoption grows. Use observability, feedback, and real-world usage to identify issues and continuously improve the developer experience.</li> <li><strong>Collaborate & Influence:</strong> Work closely with engineering teams and stakeholders across Deliveroo, DoorDash, and Wolt to understand their challenges, identify opportunities, and drive adoption of AI-powered tooling.</li> <li><strong>Support Peers & Grow:</strong> Share technical knowledge, provide constructive feedback, help unblock colleagues, and contribute to engineering interviews and hiring as the team grows.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>What You’ll Need to Thrive</strong></h3> <p>Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Strong Engineering Fundamentals:</strong> Experience building and operating production systems at scale, with a strong foundation in software architecture and a commitment to writing well-designed, well-tested, and maintainable code.</li> <li><strong>AI-Native Engineering:</strong> Hands-on experience using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) throughout the software development lifecycle, with a practical understanding of how agent harnesses manage tools, context, and execution.</li> <li><strong>Autonomy & Judgement:</strong> You independently solve complex problems, navigate ambiguity, and communicate clearly across teams and time zones. You hold all your work, AI-assisted or otherwise, to high standards of quality and correctness.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Customer-Driven Iteration: You enjoy working directly with the people using your tools, understanding their workflows, gathering feedback, and using data to measure impact and continuously improve the experience.</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Dogfooding Mindset:</strong> You actively experiment with AI tools, build solutions to problems you encounter, and have informed opinions about what makes developer tooling good.
